An email sent to me
The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either... The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
3. I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.
4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.
5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?' The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a 46.'
6. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my shotgun.'
7. Beware the man who only has one gun. HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!!
But wait, there's more!
I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did. She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!' To which I said, of course it is loaded, can't work without bullets!' She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of someone evil coming into your house?' My reply was, 'No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.' To which I'll add, having a gun in the house that isn't loaded is like having a car in the garage without gas in the tank.

Mustang Ranch
Back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch, a legal brothel
located in
They failed and it closed.
Now, we are trusting the economy of our country and 700 Billion Dollars to
a pack of nit-wits who couldn't make money running a whore house and
selling booze.
Now, if that doesn't make you nervous, what does?

redistribution of wealth
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I would not tip him because I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily cussed me out as a cheap old S.O.B. and stormed from my sight along the way telling the others servers that he just got stiffed by the gray-haired wrinkled old S.O.B. I just smiled and held my Irish Temper.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy a $7.00 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful. At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty damn angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.OR IS IT.........REDISTRIBUTION OF SOMEONE ELSE'S WEALTH IS A GREAT IDEA..............or just a fools game!!

How to explain Obama's tax policy to your kids
Dad: Well Johnny, it goes like this. Younknow how I always insist that you do your homework and get good grades?
Johnny: Yea Dad, I got straight A's and you bought me a new bike, I like getting good grades, it makes me proud too!
Dad: Well, johnny...if Obama gets elected you're grades aren't going to count. What we're gonna do is take the grades of everyone in the class and average them out and that's going to be what's on your report card.
Johnny: Dad, that's not fair! I work hard to get good grades!! Wht should I get C's just because the other kids are too lazy to study?
Dad: Well, Johnny, he just wants to spread the grades around so it's fair to everyone.
Johnny: Dad, I don't think I'm gonna bother to study my math tonight. It doesn't matter if I get an A or a E does it?
Why TAPS is played
If any of you have ever been to a military funeral in which taps were played; this brings out a new meaning of it. Here is something Every American should know.
We in the United States have all heard the haunting song, "Taps". It's the song that gives
us that lump in our throats and usually tears in our eyes.
But, do you know the story behind the song? If not, I think you will be interested to find out about its humble beginnings.
Reportedly, it all began in 1862 during the Civil War, when Union Army Captain Robert Ellicombe was with his men at Harrison's Landing in Virginia. The Confederate Army was on the other side of the narrow strip of land.
During the night, Captain Ellicombe heard the moans of a soldier who lay severely wounded on the field. Not knowing if it was a Union or Confederate soldier, the Captain decided to risk his life and bring the stricken man back for medical attention.
Crawling on his stomach through the gunfire, the Captain reached the stricken soldier and began pulling him toward his encampment.
When the Captain finally reached his own lines, he discovered it was actually a Confederate soldier, but the soldier was dead.
The Captain lit a lantern and suddenly caught his breath and went numb with shock. In the dim light, he saw the face of the soldier. It was his own son. The boy had been studying music in the South when the war broke out. Without telling his father, the boy enlisted in the Confederate Army.
The following morning, heartbroken, the father asked permission of his superiors to give his son a full military burial, despite his enemy status. His request was only partially granted.
The Captain had asked if he could have a group of Army band members play a funeral
dirge for his son at the funeral. The request was turned down since the soldier was a Confederate But, out of respect for the father, they did say they could give him only one musician.
The Captain chose a bugler. He asked the bugler to play a series of musical notes he had found on a piece of paper in the pocket of the dead youth's uniform. This wish was granted.
The haunting melody, we now know as "Taps" used at military funerals was born.
The words are:
Day is done...Gone the sun
From the lakes...From the hills....From the sky
All is well .
Safely rest...God is nigh.
Fading light . Dims the sight .
And a star...Gems the sky
Gleaming bright...From afar ... Drawing nigh .
Falls the night. Thanks and praise...For our days .
Neath the sun...Neath the stars...Neath the sky .
As we go...This we know...God is nigh.
